Cambree turned 1!!

It's crazy to think that our sweet, curious and loving baby girl is 1! This past year has seriously flown by! We were lucky enough to have some friends let us use this cute building to host Cambree's birthday party, because every 1 year old needs a big party with 20 of her Mom's closest friends... Right?? ;) Right! In all seriousness we have made some amazing friends since moving to Provo and since most of our family is back in Canada our friends have become our family. We call lots of them Cambree's Aunts and Uncles, and it really wouldn't have felt right if we didn't have all of our closest friends there to celebrate Cambree's special day!

The food table set up

When people came in we had each of them pick a piece of paper that had a letter of the alphabet on it. They then had to draw something that started with that letter then sign their name. We put them all together to make an ABC book for Cambree!

Everyone visiting at the start of the party! It started late because I accidentally gave everyone the wrong address! Whoops!

Playing musical chairs

Trip to Ontario

In October Cambree and I did a little trip out east to Ontario to visit my Mom's side of the family. They hadn't met Cambree yet and so we were able to head out there and spend Thanksgiving with them.

Cambree was able to meet her Great Grandma for the first time! It was so special seeing them play together!

As a surprise the whole family had a chocolate cake for Cambree to celebrate her 1st birthday a month early! It was so thoughtful of them and Cambree was in heaven!

Seriously, how great does my Grandma look!

4 Generations!

We loved our time in Ontario and can't wait to go back next year!

Summer 2013

Here's a glimpse into how we spent our 2013 Summer vacation...

I played on a women's soccer team out in Spanish Fork. It was so nice to play soccer again and even though I was lacking skill It was still a blast!

We spent many of days at the pool like this. Cambree loved this floatie because it gave her some freedom and we loved it because we didn't have to hold her the whole time! Win-win

College life at it's best. We had to move our bed into our living room because our apartment doesn't have AC and the living room is the only room with a swamp cooler. Classy.

Cambree snoozing on Uncle Jared's lap during the 4th of July parade

Healthy eats for the 4th! I was so proud of my watermelon cake - You cut a watermelon into the shape of a cake then cover it with light whip cream and fruit!

We spent many days at the doctors office with finger's crossed that Cambree's head was getting better!

We made a few road trips up to Whitefish & Alberta!

Cambree was the best little traveller

Out having some sun at the beach in Whitefish

Tanning. Don't bug her.

With her Nana

With Auntie Lauren

Swimming in Whitefish Lake with Grandpa

Out on the boat

Out for dinner @ Ciao Mambo in Whitefish

Biking in Whitefish

Boating/Camping trip at Tally Lake with the Bevans family

Celebrating our 2nd Anniversary at The Roof!

Cambree was able to have her very 1st ponytail!

By the time August ended we were ready to start the school year off right - By getting All Sports passes and being at every BYU football home game! Cambree made the best cheerleader :)

California Dreaming

Sometimes you just need to get away - A break from everyday life... a break from chores, bills, cooking, cleaning, CARING FOR A CHILD! and just plain ol' responsibility! My good friend Jessica's sister lives in Beverly Hills and Jessica was nice enough to invite our friend Meegan and I out for a girls trip in California. It was a week full of delicious food, dressing up, going to the beach, laughing, dancing and a ton of fun!

We started out the trip by heading to an outdoor mall to do a little shopping! When we arrived there was a big concert going on and we didn't realize it was Capital Cities playing until they played their very last song called "Safe and Sound". It quickly became the song of the trip and it will now always bring back memories from our awesome girls trip!

Our second day we headed out to hike the Hollywood sign...

...And then headed out to Chinatown and a Farmer's Market to pick up some fresh produce for the week!

Jessica's sister Sara and her husband were the best hosts! They were so helpful with everything and one night they took us out to Randy's Doughnuts and bought us a ridiculous amount of donuts, which we ate for every day we were there!

On our last night we went to a Dodgers game then hit up Hollywood and did a little touring around!

**One of the highlights of the trip was when we went to Santa Monica pier for a concert and I was walking to our seats and I saw DES the Bachelorette sitting a few feet away from me with a group of friends! We were all so starstruck since us 3 have a tradition of watching the Bachelor together and we just love Des!!

I am so grateful that I have been able to make such awesome friends since moving to Provo and I am excited to make Girls Trip an annual event!

Cambree at 9 months.

It's hard to believe that this month Cambree will be 9 months old. She has grown so much in the past few weeks that I wanted to write about it so I don't forget. I feel like overnight she has turned into a little girl. A smart, curious, smiley and loving little girl. In the past few weeks she has learned how to clap her hands, eat solid food, CHEW!, feed herself snacks, crawl, stand up on furniture and use it to walk, take a bottle and hold her own bottle and she has gotten her first (FOUR!) teeth!! Seriously, all the the past 3 weeks. What the heck happened to my sweet sleepy snuggly baby? Now she is squirmy and wide eyed, always trying to be in on the action.

She is still as sweet as ever and often when we go to the grocery store or out shopping I catch her smiling at strangers just waiting for them to look over so she can win them over with her smile.

In a month she will get her helmet off and although it was tough financially for us I am so grateful we made the decision to correct her misshaped head. It is now almost perfect and it has been a blessing for Cambree to have while she has been learning to crawl/walk. It has protected her from her many falls and has enabled her to be fancy free and adventurous, which we love!

We sure love our {not so} little bug!

Cambree is 6 months!

Can you believe it? I sure can't.
Our little baby girl is 6 months old!!

She has been such a blessing in our lives. I just want to hold her close and soak her in because I feel like time with her is so precious. She really is only a baby for a short period of time and then it's gone. I want to enjoy every single second with that sweet little girl and not take anything for granted.

Cambree at 6 months:

* She sleeps 7-7 every day without fail. The girl is seriously like clockwork. I haven't heard a peep from her after putting her to sleep since she was 2 months old. Between 7 and 8 every morning I go in to her room to wake her up and she usually is already awake and talking to herself and as soon as she sees me she gets a huge smile on her face and starts kicking like crazy!

* She scares very easily! She jumps at EVERY loud noise and if she is playing by herself and doesn't hear me walk up she always jumps when she sees me. Bathroom flushes and hand dryers also terrify her.

* Unfortunately our cute girl has a misshaped head. We have done everything we can to help it grow normal but it's just not happening so she got fitted today for a helmet. It was a sad day, but the way Ryan put it was "Well I'd rather her have to wear a helmet for 3 months than have her be "the girl with the weird shaped head that nobody wants to date in high school". I'm glad I always have Ry to put things into perspective :)

* She is such a sneaky little girl! At times she will start to cry and scream until we come into the room and as soon as she sees us she gets a sneaky little grin on her face as if she is saying, "Ha! I tricked you! I'm so sneaky!"

* She weighs just about 18 lbs and LOVES her food. Sometimes she will nurse for an hour and refuse to stop. When she finally finishes she looks so drunk on milk - Red face, sweaty hair, eyes rolled back and simply delirious!

* She now eats milk, formula, rice cereal and sweet potatoes. She likes everything we give her, unless it is in a bottle. She hates bottles and flat out refuses to drink from one.

* She loves to smile and smiles at every stranger we see when we are out!

* Her best friends are Sophie and Geoffrey the giraffes. She could play with them all day - I hope they don't mind that she tries to eat them!

* Everything goes in her mouth. And I mean EVERYTHING. I put her down in her bumbo last week and came back a minute later and she had grabbed Ryans shoe and was chewing on it. This girl is going to have an immune system of a champ!

* She has a very mellow personality. She can be held by anyone and not make a fuss, or just play by herself in her bouncer. If she cries it is either one of two things: She's hungry or tired. I think she may be like her momma in that way :)

I hope that as she gets older she knows how special she is and how much she is loved!

We love you little bug!

Love Mom :)
