Probably the worst thing about living in a college town is all the goodbyes. Nobody stays in a college town and in a college neighbourhood forever and it is so sad when friends move away. This week we said goodbye to the Allreds and it was so hard. I cried for a few days because it is seriously SO hard meeting great friends and then having them move. It has happened a lot with us and this was no different. They have become some of our best friends and it was so nice having them living only a houses away. Ryan met Austin on his mission and then when we moved into our apartment last year we found out they were in our ward! Camille has been my best stay at home mom friend this year and we spent many of days with our kids out shopping, working out or having fun! We had a ton of great times with them and it looks like we will be making lots of trips to Royal City, WA since both them AND the Hebdons now live there!

Vegas for the Weekend
We did a quick last minute trip to Vegas with a few friends to get out of town and get some sun! The boys all went to a BYU basketball game and the girls did some shopping and laying out by the pool! It was nice to get away from the cold winter and feel some heat!
The first night we were there we all went down to The Strip and walked around. Cambree was seemed a little confused as to why she was out at midnight wandering around but she was a trooper!
The next day we got up early and took Cambree to Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. I think Ryan was a little disappointed that the sharks weren't as big as the ones you see in the movies but it was still really cool to see all the fish and sharks!
After Shark Reef Ryan went to the BYU game and we headed to the pool!
On our last night we went to Maggiano's for Italian food. It was delicious and the perfect end to our trip!

2014 Sochi Olympics
We love the Olympics around our house! When they are on we watch them 24/7 and get into all of the stories of all the athletes! We rep'd our home country by wearing our Canada mittens from Christal everywhere we went! It was so fun watching hockey and have a bit of rivalry with our friends the Flakes who were cheering for the US.
Ryan and Ryan Flake were arguing over a call in the Canada-US game... It got pretty heated.
Sorry guys.. Better luck next time? :)

My First Half
I have been wanting to run a half marathon for as long as I can remember but never thought I would be able to! I hate running and get bored (and tired!) really easily. But one night in October at about 2 in the morning I decided I just needed to commit! So I signed up for a half marathon in January and then ran to tell Ryan about it. I woke up up and told him that I signed up for a race on January 18th and that we needed to start planning our trip to St. George for my run. He went on to tell me that he had a conference that weekend and wouldn't be able to come with me. I was so bummed, I had always pictured my first half with my husband there cheering me on at the finish line. There was no way I was going to go by myself or even worse, just Cambree and I, to St. George for the weekend. (It's a four hour drive and what was I going to do with Cambree!) I was disappointed but decided I would just run a half another time.
Fast forward to the start of December I was telling some friends about the St. George half and they said that if I wanted they would come and we could make it into a fun weekend! Us, the Henries, the Donakeys, and Julie Tate (her hubby was gone at an interview for Pharmacy school!) ended up going down (even Ryan was able to sneak away early from his conference) and we made a mini vacation out of it. I didn't train a ton so my time wasn't great but it was such a cool experience and I loved it! I am definitely going to be doing more in the future!
I'm grateful to have such a great husband and friends who cheered me on the whole way. Julie even ran the last 3 miles with me and kept me going!

Christmas 2013
We split Christmas between the Raslasks and the Bevans family which turned out just great. It was the perfect break, we spent our time eating, skiing, shopping and just relaxing with friends and family!
On Christmas Eve we were in Whitefish with my family and we went to a service at the local church by our cabin. They always put on a nativity scene every year and it's their moto that EVERY kid can be in the pagent if they want. So there was the typical Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, Shepards etc.. But then there was the extra kids. A pink poodle, a ladybug, a bear and of course Cambree, the bumblebee. It was adorable seeing her walk down the aisle up to the front dressed as a bumblebee present at Jesus' birth!
I am so grateful we were able to spend so much time with friends and family and have another wonderful Christmas together!
After the service we went out as a family for dinner and all took turns posing with Cambree by the Christmas tree!
After we got home from dinner we went ahead with our yearly tradition of opening one gift (Always pajamas.. surprise surprise!) before bed. After that we decided we might as well open them all since we had to leave bright and early the next morning.
Christmas morning came and Cambree was too preoccupied eating her sticky roll to bother looking at her stocking. After breakfast we packed up and headed to Cardston to celebrate with the Bevans'.
We spent a few days with Ryans family relaxing, eating delicious food and having fun! We played a game called "Heads Up" which was pretty funny. Here is Ryan and Rustin acting out a "moose".
We also were able to go and visit with some of Ryan's best friends from high school. We all had babies around the same time so we took another picture this year in the same order. I can't believe how much they have grown!
I am so grateful we were able to spend so much time with friends and family and have another wonderful Christmas together!
